YSRCP spits fire on CRDA Chief Srikant for comments on crops

Hyderabad, Jan 29, 2015: Launching a scathing attack on AP Capital Region Development Authority CEO Srikant, YSR Congress has said he has no authority to state that farmers in the capital region should not raise crops after signing land pooling agreements with the Government. Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, YSRCP Spokesperson Tammineni Sitram challenged Srikant to issue a GO ordering farmers not to raise second crop after signing land pooling agreement with the Government. Srikanth on Wednesday said that farmers would not be allowed to raise crops on their lands once they sign the agreements with land pooling officers. Tamminenni Sitaram said that Srikanth was responsible for police firing on protesters in Srikakulam district when they staged demonstrations opposing Thermal Power station at Kakarapally in the past. "What is the justification for making such an officer in-charge of land pooling for capital city? Will you keep quiet if your Heritage is closed down?" he asked Chandrababu. Sitaram has said AP is now ruled by demons and added:"Even the regime of Aurangzeb was better compared to Chandrababu Naidu's rule." Earlier, Mangalagiri YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishana Reddy also attacked Srikanth for his statement."YSRCP will stand by the farmers and help them raise their crops, come what may," he warned the Government.
