Metroman Sreedharan inspects Vijayawada Metro route

Vijayawada, Jan 22: Principal Advisor to the government of Andhra Pradesh E. Sreedharan is reported to have examined the designs presented on Thursday by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the establishment of the proposed metro rail in Vijayawada, sources said. Sreedharan is believed to have inspected innumerable locations along the proposed Metro route including Gunadala Centre, the Pandit Nehru Bus Station, Eluru Road, Alankar Centre and railway station in order to assess the ground realities, sources said. According to sources, the Principal Advisor is believed to have told the local officials to complete two under construction flyovers near Gunadala before taking a final decision on the designs. Sources also said, Sreedharan is believed to have told the officials to coordinate with the departments concerned in connection with the proposed Metro.
