As Swine Flu spreads, worried KCR holds emergency meeting

Hyderabad , Jan 21, 2015: Telangana Government, worried over the fast spreading of Swine Flu in Hyderabad and other parts of the state, has on Wednesday swung into action to control its further spreading. The Telangana Government opened its eyes after 21 people had died of the contagious disease, with three of the deaths being reported on Tuesday alone.
KCR holds emergency meeting
Chief Minister KCR held an emergency meeting with his senior ministers and top officials of the Public health, medical and family welfare departments and reviewed the situation here at the Secretariat. He has constituted a high power committee to oversee the arrangements to prevent its further spreading in the state, especially in the Greater Hyderabad limits. Expressing his impatience over the failure of the Health department in taking preventive steps, KCR ordered the officials to ensure that all Swine Flu medicines are available in area hospitals across the state by this night. Reports said KCR is also angry with Health Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Rajaiah for his failure in acting on time in controlling the spread of the disease. KCR earlier spoke to PM Narendra Modi and Union Heath Minister over telephone and urged them to send medical teams to Hyderabad along with medicines to control Swine Flu. Reports said Central medical teams are rushing to Hyderabad along with medicines. The Government has also reportedly decided to declare holidays to all primary schools in the state till Jan 25.
