'Achhe din' for capitalists, foreign companies: CPI-M

Bhubaneswar, Jan 3: 'Achhe din' (good days) under the BJP government have come only for the capitalists and foreign companies, CPI-M general secretary Prakash Karat said here Saturday. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to bring 'achhe din' for the people of the country. But, the 'achhe din' have come only for the capitalists and multinational companies," Karat said at a public meeting of the party. "The central government is only bringing anti-people laws favouring capitalists," he said. Schemes like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, implemented to benefit the poor, were being diluted and new labour laws are being introduced affecting the job security of poor people, he added.
