Chandrababu selects Mangalagiri as temporary capital for AP

Hyderabad, Jan 3: In a latest twist, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to set up the temporary capital of the state at Mangalagiri. According to sources close to the chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu is keen to shift his office administration to the new state capital sometime this year. With several farmers hesitating to offer their lands for the construction of the new AP capital, Chandrababu is growing impatient. As a stop gap measure, the chief minister wants to set up a temporary arrangement until the new capital city is developed. With the result, the temporary administrative office spread across 5 lakh square feet will be set up at the Amaravathi Township Layout in Mangalagiri of Guntur district. In this connection, the AP government has invited proposals for setting up the temporary office.
