Tadepalli, Jan 2, 2015:Farmers of Penumaka and Undavalli villages in the AP capital region have erected banners and flexi boards on the outskirts of their villages saying they would not hand over their lands to the Government for the construction of the capital city. According to reports in a section of the media , farmers of these villages are bluntly telling the land pooling officials that there is no question of handing over their lands to them. "Take our lives but not our lands," is the refrain of the farmers in these two villages. Reports said that farmers of these villages wanted to stage protest and express their opposition to land pooling during Chandrababu Naidu's visit to Tullur on Thursday. However, Chandrababu Naidu avoided the road route yesterday and preferred to fly by a helicopter to Tullur fearing protests.
