Kuppam: YSRCP activists damage newly built Anna Canteen, Chandrababu stages stir

Kuppam, August 25: TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu staged a protest on Thursday after YSRCP activists damaged a newly built Anna Canteen at bus stand junction here. Chandrababu was supposed to inaugurate the canteen today as part of his second day Kuppam tour.
 
The YSRCP workers arrived to bus stand junction in a rally and destroyed the Anna Canteen. They tore TDP banners and flexis on Palace Road and tried to barge into the TDP office near bus stand. The police prevented the YSRCP activists from marching towards the TDP office.  
 
The TDP leaders and workers led by Chandrababu reached bus stand centre from R&B guest house. The TDP chief sat in middle of the road to express protest over damage to Anna Canteen. Meanwhile, the TDP activists tried to walk towards house of YSRCP MLC Bharath. But the police stopped them. At this juncture, a scuffle broke between cops and the TDP cadre. Several TDP workers injured when police lathicharged them.
