LPG users will get cash subsidy in bank A/Cs from January 1

New Delhi, Dec 31: Beginning January 1 LPG consumers across the country will get their cash subsidy directly into their bank accounts. Which means they will have to buy the cooking fuel at market price. The government will directly deposit Rs 568 into the bank accounts of the domestic LPG consumers the moment they join the Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme for LPG. The scheme has been renamed PAHAL or ‘Pratyaksh Hanstantarit Labh’. Under the scheme, LPG consumers will get cash subsidy to buy 12 14.2-kg cylinders or 34 five-kg refills.
