Siblings kill mother at tantric’s behest in M'rashtra

Pune, Dec 31: In a bizarre incident involving a superstition-induced matricide, two brothers reportedly beat up their aged mother to death in the Nashik district of Maharashtra. The brother committed the gory act on the directions of a female tantric, who is said to have claimed that the sacrifice will bring them luck. The incident that took place on the intervening night of October 30 and 31, came to light recently following the discovery of the bodies of Budhabai and her relative Kashibai Veer (80) in Takeharsh village near Trimbakeshwar. The rural police arrested 10 perpetrators, including the brothers, in connection with the murder. They were booked under the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act.
