AP Govt to build Kuchipudi Natyaramam with Rs. 100 Cr

Hyderabad,Dec 28, 2014: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that Kuchipudi Natyaramam would be built with a cost of Rs.100 Cr at Kuchipi in Krishna drict, 50 km off the new capital city of AP. Attending as chief guest at the 4th International Kuchipudi dance festival at GMC Balayogi Stadium at Gachchibowli here Saturday evening, Chandrababu said Kuchipudi Anand would be appointed as the Chairman of the Kuchipudi Natyaramam. "Govt will work for strengthening the dance from that brought fame to Andhra Pradesh and India, he said , promising to complete construction of Natyaramam by December 2016. The next international Kuchipudi dance festival should be held at the Natyaramam, he said. The three-day International Kuchipudi Sammelanam will continue for another two days at the Gachchibowli Stadium where more than 8000 Kuchipudi dancers will perform various concepts of Kuchipudi dance. The dance festival is being organised by the US based Silicon Andhra organisation.
