Police solve mystery behind bride's death
Visakhapatnam, May 23: Finally the mystery behind the death of a bride in Visakhapatnam was cleared. Police confirmed that the bride lost her life while trying to stop her marriage.
It should be noted here that bride Srujana collapsed during her wedding with Nagothu Shivaji on May 12 at Palem in Madhuravada on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam. She was rushed to hospital. Later, she died while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Police found out datura seeds, which are highly poisonous. A case of suspicious death was registered.
After finding datura seeds in her bag, police suspected that the bride might have committed suicide. But the family members of the deceased condemned the statement and clarified that they arranged the marriage with her consent only.
After checking the data on Srujana’s mobile phone, police found out that she chatted with her lover Mohan on Instagram three days before the wedding. Police said that Mohan reportedly requested Srujana to give him more time as he was jobless. Hence Srujana assured him that she will try to stop the wedding and consumed poisonous food.
