Gunman's dad says his son not in touch with him for past 2 yrs
Kadapa, Nov 20: When the Porumavilla police of Kadapa district on Thursday grilled the father of the ex-Greyhound policeman, who opened fire from a stolen AK-47 on Aurobindo Pharma' Vice President K Nityananda Reddy at KBR Park on Wednesday, he is reported to have said that his son was not in contact with him for the past two years.
The accused, Obulesh, is said to have been taken into custody by the police at the Kurnool-Anantapur district border on Wednesday night from a Bengaluru-bound bus.
Police said Obulesu's father, Mikheel, informed them that he was not sure if the arrested person was indeed his son.
Obulesu belongs to Tiruvengalapuram of Porumavilla mandal in Kadapa district and police said the villagers of Porumavilla are refusing to speak about the accused.
