Shoot out at KBR Park: KCR makes statement in Assembly
Hyderabad, Nov 19: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday confirmed in the State Assembly that Aurobindo Pharma vice-chairman Nityananda Reddy escaped unhurt in a firing incident that took place at thre KBR Park in the Banjara Hills area of the city. His statement came following a request made by Leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy and Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Legislature Party leader Akbaruddin Owaisi. The Chief Minister also confirmed that the case (No.1387/2014) is under investigation, under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 363 (Punishment for kidnapping) of Indian Penal Code, read with sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act at Banjara Hills police station. He also stated that the weapon AK-47 was lost from Greyhounds (the elite anti—Naxal force) on December 26, 2013 and a case was registered at Narsingi police station under sections 408 (criminal breach of trust by servant or clerk) and 380 (theft in dwelling house) of IPC on February 3, 2014.
