Farmers refuse to part with lands, boo AP Cabinet Sub-Committee delegates

Tulluru, Nov 15: Angry farmers belonging to Tulluru mandal of Guntur district are refusing to hand over their lands for the development of the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh state. Since afternoon, they have been agitating before a delegation of of the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Sub-Committee at Raiapudi village in the mandal. Farmers were seen arguing with one of the visiting delegates, MLA Sharavan Kumar, and were attempting to disrupt the meeting. With the result, tension prevailed at the meeting venue. The agitating farmers then told the delegates to immediately go away from the venue and they were informed that the farmers were unwilling to share their view on the issue of land pooling. Till Friday, the delegates of the Sub-Committee were received in a grand manner in several places, however, they faced the ire of farmers at Raiapudi village.
