Dictatorial rule in State will go: Uttam

Hyderabad, April. 17 : The TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has stated that the detention of the leaders, who were staging peaceful protests was nothing but a best example for dictatorial rule in the State.

The police resorted to arrests of Congress leaeders — Uttam Kumar Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Ponnala Laxmaiah, Danam Nagender, Anjan Kumar Yadav, Sabitha Indra Reddy, Sarvey Sathyanarayana, Marri Shashidhar Reddy, Ch Vamshichand Reddy, Sampat Kumar and shifted them to Narayanguda police station here on Monday when they were staging a Sathyagraha at Dr B R Ambedkar statue on the Tank Bund protesting against the State government shifting the Dharna Chowk from Indira Park.

Speaking on the occasion, Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the TRS government was resorting to arrests and not even allowing the Opposition parties to stage dharnas. Arresting thousands of Congress activists was nothing but killing of democracy, he deplored and said that the State government was suppressing the minimum rights of the people. There was no peoples’ rule in the State except family rule and dictatorial rule in the state. The people must revolt against the TRS government, he predicted.
