AP govt to reconstitute Executive Boards for temples
Hyderabad, Nov 15: The Andhra Pradesh government is preparing ground for the reconstitution of the Executive Boards of all the major temples in the state, except that of Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam, announced Endowments Minister Manikyala Rao here on Saturday.
He also announced that the government was taking strong security measures to stop the campaign for conversion into other religions near Hindu temples in the state.
The minister also said that the government was studying the feasibility of paying salaries to archakas from donations received through hundis.
Finally, he assured that employees of the Endowments department will not be transferred within one year of their posting at a place.
