Make arrangements for Ugadi fete at CM KCR office: CS

Hyderabad, March.25: Chief Secretary S P Singh today directed the officials concerned to make elaborate arrangements for “Sri Hevalabmi Nama Samvastara Ugadi Festival at Janahitha in Chief Minister’s Camp Office on March 29.

The Chief Secretary held a high-level meeting with all top officials and asked them to make fool-proof arrangements for the purpose by March 28. Besides, Language and Culture and Endowment departments provide basic facilities like water supply, uninterrupted power, sanitation, live coverage, public address system, barricading, parking, bandobust and security, the officials should take steps to ensure that Ugadi Festival is conducted in a smooth manner at the camp office. As part of the program, arrangements should be made for Nadaswaram, Purna Kumbha swagatham, prarthana geetham, Veda- ashirvachanam, Panchanga Pathanam, and felicitation to Veda pundits, priests and others followed by a cultural program.

Government Advisor KV Ramanachary, special chief secretary Ajay Misra, GAD principal secretary Adhar Sinha, R&B principal secretary Sunil Sharma, Secretaries B Venkatesham, Navin Mittla, GHMC Commissioner Janardhan Reddy, CP Mahender Reddy and others were present.
