Gramjyoti scheme launched for development of villages
Hyderabad, March.15: Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Minister Jupally Krishna Rao today informed the Council that Gramjyoti scheme was launched for development of villages in the State.
The minister said besides providing basic facilities in the villages, administration has been decentralized for the benefit of people. He said Rs 875 crore has been spent for development of villages under Gramjyoti scheme in the year of 2015-16 and 2016-17.
Jupally said after TRS came to power, Rs 4,800 crore has been spent for development of roads in the State. BT roads have been laid in 8,222 villages and roads would be constructed in the remaining 3,027 villages. The minister also said double road would be constructed between district headquarter to mandal headquater.
