Another cyclone to hit AP coast

Visakhapatnam, Nov 6: Another cyclone is likely to hit Andhra Pradesh coast as depression is likely to intensify over central Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours, the Visakhapatnam Cyclone Warning Centre said here Thursday. According to the Met office, the depression lay centered about 560 km southeast of Visakhapatnam. The depression is likely to move northwestwards and intensify further into a cyclonic storm, the officials said. The storm is likely to weaken gradually into a depression while reaching near the coast on the night of November 8, Met officials said in a statement Thursday afternoon. The Met Office had forecast moderate rainfall at several places across Andhra Pradesh on Saturday and Sunday. The Met Office further advised fishermen not to venture into the sea along and off Andhra Pradesh coast during those two days. The office said the first warning signal has already been hoisted on all ports along AP coast.
