Congress To Meet Prez Against Scrapping Of Zonal System

Karimnagar: Lashing out at the State government for abolishing zonal system, senior Congress leader and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar said his party would meet the President on the issue.

Speaking to the media here on Monday, Ponnam said it was not proper to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who opposed free zone system during the Telangana movement, to take the decision against the zonal system. He opined that the rural students and job aspirants would be affected severely due to the abolition of zonal system and hence the party has decided to call on the President for justice.
