Cases Against AP’s Illegal Buses: Minister Mahender Reddy

Hyderabad: TS Government will take stringent measures against private transport vehicles of Andhra Pradesh coming into the State and eating its revenues, Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy said.

During the question hour, TRS member V Srinivas Goud raised the issue of private vehicles of Andhra Pradesh causing revenue loss to the State and sought some strong steps to prevent it. Stating that 2000 such vehicles from AP coming to Telangana which was sending only 200 to AP, he sought to know what steps were being taken by the government to prevent the same.

He also expressed anguish at the AP transport vehicles for trying to loot the TSRTC revenues and warned of serious consequences. The government should take steps against this and development of TSRTC besides protecting the interests of the State transport vehicles, Goud said.

Reacting on the issue, the minister promised to control the situation and said an inter-state meeting has to be held to sort out the issue. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao provided Rs 1000 crore financial assistance to the TSRTC to overcome the problems and improve services, the minister claimed.
