'68Kg Idly' Homage To Late Amma Jayalalithaa

Chennai: During her tenure as Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Late Jayalaithaa had announced various freebies and populist schemes under the 'Amma' brand.

On Tuesday, Amma supporters prepared 68kgs idly in form of Jayalalithaa's face and remembered her at Marina Beach where she was buried.

The populist schemes of 'Amma' include Amma Canteen, Amma cement, Amma Mineral Water, Amma salt, Gold for ‘thali’, Free mobile phones, Free mixer-grinder, Laptops to students, Free rice, Free 100 units of power, Milch cows and goats etc.

AIADMK told that 77 people had died due to sudden shock after hearing the demise of CM Jayalalithaa. Party announced Rs.3lakh solatium to their familes.
