Bank MD shot at in Shantinagar
Hyderabad, Dec.18 : In broad daylight, an unidentified miscreant fired two rounds at Manmath Dalai, chief executive officer of Krishna Bheema Samruddi Local Area Bank at the latter’s residential flat in Shantinagar at Masab Tank on Sunday afternoon and fled.
On hearing gun shots, the watchman and the neighbours rushed to the spot and shifted the victim to the Care Hospital in Banjara Hills, where he was progressing. On receipt of the information, West Zone Dy Commissioner of Police Venkateshwara Rao visited the scene of offence.
The locals informed the DCP that a stranger came to Sai Durga apartment in the afternoon and asked a watchman for the victim’s residence. The watchman took the miscreant to Dalai’s flat and left the place. A heated argument took place between the duo and in a fit of ill-temper, the stranger reportedly fired two rounds at the victim and fled. One of the bullets hit his leg while the other missed the target. The victim is said to be out of danger. The DCP said they have launched a hunt for the unidentified attacker, who escaped on his motorbike.
