J&K Govt Announced Exgratia For Burhan Wani's Kin
Srinagar : The J&K government has cleared ex-gratia to the persons who killed in militancy related activities. The list of 17 persons to receive ex-gratia includes brother of Hizbul Mujahidden militant Burhan Wani. Before issuing formal orders related to payment, government has given 1 week's time to file objections.

Yesterday, Deputy Commissioner of Pulwama issued a notification to clear the ex-gratia relief of Rs.4 lakh in favour of next of kin of those individuals who died in terrorist related incidents.

Among the 17 listed names Wani's brother, Khalid Muzaffar Wani name was also included. Khalid had died on 13th April last year in firing by military forces in Buchoo forest area of Tral.

Army claimed that Khalid was an important over ground worker of Hizbul but locals denied such allegations and told that he had no links with the Hizbul.

On 8 July this year, security forces killed Burhan Wani in an encounter held at South Kashmir's Kokernag area. This triggered a massive unrest across the Valley, resulting the death of 86 people.
