To Monitor 'Vardah', AP CM Chandrababu Cancels Gulf Trip

Amaravati: It is expected that cyclone Vardah will cross the Bay of Bengal Coast in the coming 1-2 days. In view of this AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu has cancelled his trip to the Gulf which is scheduled to begin tomorrow. On Saturday AP government placed the administrative machinery in Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and SPS Nellore on high alert to face any eventuality. Today, CM Chandrababu has conducted a teleconference with the concerned officials and directed them to take necessary precautionary measures. According to NDMA (National Disaster Management Authority) the system is likely to move west-northwestwards and get intensify further in the next 24 hours. It also said that cyclonic storm is to maintain at high intensity upto December 11 evening.
