Sasikala To Contest RK Nagar Bypoll !

Chennai: Sudden demise of Purachitalaivi Jayalalithaa made RK Nagar Assembly segment vacant. It is heard that her close aid Sasikala is going to contest the upcoming by-election in order to pave way for her future aspirations. In 2016 Assembly general elections Jayalalithaa has won this seat with 97,218 votes. After the death of Jayalalithaa, power politics churned in AIADMK head quarters. Not to provoke the people's emotions initially Chief Ministership was given to O Panneerselvam, who is recognised as loyal follower of Jayalalithaa. Sasikala supposed to get party General Secretary position. Today, Chief Minister, O Panneerselvam met Sasikala in the Poes Garden bungalow before starting his work. It is reported that in the 2 hours long discussion issues like RK Nagar Bypoll, Party leadership, BJP's involvement etc have been discussed at length.
