Not The PM, 90% Indians Become 'Fakir' Due To Demonetisation : Mayawati
Lucknow: Addressing a massive rally in Lucknow, BSP chief Mayawati made a jibe at PM Modi over his 'fakir' statement. On 3rd December, while addressing rally in Moradabad, Modi called himself as a fakir and told that he would not bother about criticization. Referring this, Mayawati said that due to demonetisation effect 90% Indian population become fakir but not the PM Modi.
In the rally she also blamed that RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and BJP are dividing the society on Hindutva lines. She said that Babasaheb Ambedkar crafted the Indian Constitution on the foundations of the religious equality. But both RSS and BJP wish to impose Hindutva across the country.
In view of upcoming 2017 Assembly elections all the parties are very much engaged in chalking out the electioneering strategies.
Maywati claimed that her party belongs to poor and minority sections and slammed other parties for their communal and anti poor politics.
