TN Telugu Youth Demands AP Govt to Take Over Potti Sriramulu Bhavan in Bhavan

Hyderabad, Dec.2: Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuvashakti would organize a protest dharna at Amaravati, capital of Andhra Pradesh, on December 4 demanding the government to take control of Potti Sriramulu memorial bhavan in Tamil Nadu. Yuvasakhi president Ketireddy Jagdishwar Reddy in a statement said that they are organizing a demonstration in support of their demands in Amaravti. Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuvasakhi urged A P government to abolish working committee of the memorial and conduct new election for the committee, he said and alleged irregularities in the elections conducted for the existing committee. Potti Sriravulu Memoraial bhavan is located at Mylapore near Rayapet highway in Chennai. Jagdishwar Reddy alleged that some unscrupulous persons have usurped the building and the A P government should take control of this historical building. Their other demands include bringing a law to celebrate Potti Sriramulu jayanti across the state officially, installation of Potti Sriramulu statue in Amaravati and issue of a G O calling Nellore district as Potti Sriramulu district.
