TDP MLA Dubs New Gold Rules as 'Tughluq' Move
Telugudesam Party MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao severely objected the GOI's decision of bringing new rules on Gold. According to the new proposed rules a married women is allowed to have 500gm gold, while unmarried women can have 250gm gold. Similarly male member is allowed to have 100gm gold. How ever there is no limit on holding the gold ornaments or jewellery provided the source of income. MLA Bonda alleged that GOI already shown over enthusiasm in demonetisation and now it is touching the gold issue. He questioned the government that how can anyone show proofs for the inherited properties. He step further and warned the Central Govt that they wont keep quiet if they go ahead with the new rules.
