Telangana asked Rs 5000cr, RBI granted only Rs 25cr

Hyderabad: In wake of currency demonetisation, TS government sought Rs.5000 cr to meet the public expenditure but RBI has granted only Rs 25cr. As the month comes to an end TS government is concerning about payments to Aasra pensioners(welfare pensions), government servants and other pensioners. Post demonetisation, in Telangana Rs 35,000cr has been deposited in the banks. In a letter State government appealed RBI to issue Rs 5000cr worth new currency. But RBI has granted only Rs 25cr.
