10 Month Old baby Thrashed by Caretaker in Crenche
Mumbai: In a spine chilling incident, a 10 month old baby was allegedly kicked and beaten up by a care taker in Navi Mumbai. As Ruchita and Rajat Sinha both are working professionals, they used to leave their baby at the day care centre. On Tuesday, when the couple went to take her, shockingly they found a wound on their baby's forehead. Ruchita enquired about the wound with creche owner Nikam. But she failed to get proper response from the Creche management. When the parents went to hospital for treatment, doctor suspected it as a child abuse. Subsequently the couple went to Kharghar PS and lodged a complaint. Police analysed the CCTV footage of Creche and Purva Play School. Both police and parents got shocked after seeing the footage, which showed caretaker Sheikh slapping, kicking, throwing and beating the baby. Police registered case against Nikam and Sheik under Section-325 of IPC (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and Section-23 of Juvenile Justice Act ,2000 (Care and Protection of Children) The video of this cruel incident has gone viral on Social Media. People demanding the installation of CCTVs at all Crenches.
