TNSF threatens to foil KCR’s “Gruha Pravesham”
Hyderabad, Nov.21: Telugu Nadu Students’ Federation (TNSF) has warned Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao that it would lay a siege to the new camp office of the latter if the State government failed to release arrears of students fee-reimbursement within two days.
Speaking to the media after his arrest, TNSF president Madhusudhan Reddy said they would try to obstruct “Gruha pravesham” of new CMO which is scheduled to be held on November 24 if the government failed to release funds for fee reimbursement. He demanded that the TRS government pay arrears of Rs 2090 crore to 14 lakh students across the State, who were waiting since two years. Due to non-payment of arrears of fee reimbursement, the study of poor students was badly affected.
Earlier, demanding early payment of fee-reimbursement, TNSF members staged a dharna in front of the Secretariat holding placards and raised slogans. However, the police tried to prevent slogan-shouting demonstrators. As tempers ran high, the police took them into preventive custody and shifted them to Gandhi police station.
