With a dual plan of mitigating currency notes crisis as well as boosting business transactions District administration of Srikakulam has introduced ePOS(Electronic Point Of Sale) at a large scale. District's lead bank 'Andhra Bank' has taken the necessary measures in-order to implement hassle free business transactions through ePOS. Small business people also can avail this opportunity by opening 'Current Account'. Officials said that even a transaction of Rs.2 worth can be made through ePOS. Similar system was launched in Anantapur District also. About ePOS system: ePOS(Electronic Point Of Sale) is a computerised digital system used in restaurants, shops and retail outlets. This system has voluminous applications which include * Faster and efficient customer service * Reducing human error * Keeping track of sales and taxes * Improving data integrity * Recording and updating stock levels * can print vouchers and receipts for customers
