Chandrababu Naidu Sure Centre Will Keep Promises; Slams Critics
Visakhapatnam, Nov 17: AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today hoped that the Centre would fulfill its promise of giving funds under special packages on par with Special Status Quota.
Chandrababu Naidu was addressing a Jana Chaitanya Yatra meeting at Chodavaram in Visakhapatnam district. He said the Centre had given assurance that it would provide more funds under the package than what the State could get under the special status category. Refuting allegations that the State would not get more funds under the special status, the Chief Minister said some mischief mongers were willfully spreading false information. It may be mentioned here that YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Tollywood Actor and Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan raised questions asking the State government as to why it agreed to the special package.
Attributing the ten-year Congress rule for the present problems being faced by the State, Naidu said he was relentlessly working for the development of the State, and his aim was to eradicate poverty. “Though we have a chance to live in Hyderabad for ten years, we decided to shift government machinery to Amaravati for the sake of people, he added.
