Software Market of India To Grow 12.8% In 2017: Gartner

According to Gartner's forecast India's software revenue will stand at a total of US$5.8bn in 2017, which is a 12.8% increase from the 2016 estimates of US$5.2bn. Bhavish Sood, Research Director at Gartner said "Accelerating the demand for technology innovations, outcome-based solutions, changing enterprise organizations are the emerging digital business strategies in India" Registering an increase of around 150 percent, during the period from April 2015 to March 2016 Computer Software and Hardware attracted $5.9bn FDI inflow. Gartner predicted that these investments may gain further momentum towards the end of 2016. PM Modi's pet project “Make in India” makes it easier to attract investments as well as boosting India's manufacturing sector. Where as “Digital India” is focused on increasing digital literacy, digital delivery of services and creating digital infrastructure.
