TRS flays Congress on corruption jibe
Hyderabad, Nov.4: TRS MP B Suman today turned tables on Congress leaders saying they were noted for rampant corruption across the country.
Talking to media persons here on Friday, Suman accused the Congress leaders of losing mental balance and resorting to mud-slinging at the government for political mileage. Suman also took serious exception to the Congress for making corruption charges against the government. “The Congress governments were notorious for looting public money and failed to implement welfare schemes. There were many scams involving lakhs of crores of funds which the Congress leaders from State to national level pocketed”, he alleged.
The Congress leaders were caught in the web of corruption cases and IAS and IPS officials were sent to jail for their involvement, he reminded. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from street level to National capital, the Congress leadership achieved dubious distinction of indulging in corrupt activities and irregularities in multiple scams, he said. The Congress governments at the Centre and in the States indulged in swindling funds and ignoring the plight of the poor, Dalits, STs and Minorities, he charged.
Unlike the previous governments, the TRS Government was making Herculean efforts to implement multiple schemes for the welfare of SC, ST, BC and Minorities with equal priority, he claimed. “We are striving to offer corrupt-free governance and offer hassle-free permissions for industries and businesses in the State. Double bedroom houses, pension, ration cards, land to landless are some of the schemes that were benefiting the poor in the State. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was determined to keep the manifesto promises”, he said.
The youngest State was ushering in a new era of rapid growth with proper plans of KCR, Suman stated. Condemning the loose talk of Congress leader Madhu Yashki Goud on GHMC works, Suman asserted that the works of the civic body were being taken up with transparency. The TRS was enjoying total support from the people and the government has their blessings, he added.
