Top priority to Education: Tummala
Hyderabad, Nov.3: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was giving top priority to the Education sector by keeping all the promises, Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao has said.
Laying the foundation stone for Government Junior College at Kukatpally here on Thursday, he said the State government allotted the required piece of land to the college at the behest of the Chief Minister, he said. The minister stated the TRS Government was allocating a lot of funds for thorough revamp of Education sector to offer quality and standard education with skills. KG-to-PG the flagship program is one such idea to provide qualitative and intensive education to the poor in the State.
As part of it, the government launched Gurukul schools and institutions, he said. Facilities, equipment, and infrastructure in schools, colleges and educational institutions will boost the Education sector, he remarked. Chief Minister KCR will keep the promises made and roads in Hyderabad will get a facelift in five to six months, the minister maintained. Plans are afoot to transform the city into a top global destination, he asserted.
