Rs 184 cr for Durgam Cheruvu Bridge

Hyderabad, Oct.29: In a significant development to boost tourism sector, the Telangana State government today released Rs 184 crore for construction of a cable bridge over Durgam Cheruvu in the city. The State government proposed to construct Madhapur Cable Bridge from Ambedkar Open University to Durgam Cheruvu and released funds on Saturday. As part of the bridge works, it was also planned by the government to develop the lake as a tourist destination with greenery and facilities of amusement like that of Lumbini Park. The government has asked the officials to speed up the works related to the bridge. GHMC and TSIIC will bear Rs 92 crore each for the project.
