Small budget film Pelli Choopulu created wonders at the box office. It earned double profits for makers and distributors. There is tough competition to acquire the remake rights of the film from other industries. It is learnt that ace director Gautham Menon bought the Tamil remake rights of the film for a whopping price. The deal amount is still not clear. It needs to be seen whether he is going to direct the film or produce the film. If we go by previous experience, he will most likely produce the film by assigning the project to a fresh director. Recently, the Hindi remake rights of the film sold for a whopping price. The producers are finalising the deals from other industries. Vijay Devarakonda and Ritu Varma earned good reputation after the film release.
