CM aware of farmers’ woes, Harish Rao snubs Congress leaders

Hyderabad, Oct.24: Claiming that TRS Government is for farmers’ welfare, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today said that the government will soon launch the works related to Dindi project in Nalgonda district to address the decade-long fluoride problem. Tenders for this project were called and works will be taken up he said. As a son of a farmer Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar is aware of agricultural problems and launching many schemes for their welfare. The government will spend Rs 1000 cr for constructing a godown facility in every mandal in the state he said. Harish Rao lashed out at the opposition for making baseless allegations on projects and farmers problems. The previous congress government failed to construct projects and ignored the plight of the farmers are coming in the way of development. During previous regime Utham Kumar Reddy who built Pulichintala project for Andhra region is now creating hurdles to Telangana projects he fumed. The Congress leaders have no moral right to talk on farmers woes and projects he said. Lakes restoration program gave positive results and most of the water bodies and ponds are filled to capacity giving hope to farmers to get work in their villages. The opposition is getting envious on the projects and moving high court against them he objected. Though people are happy with the welfare schemes the Congress is trying to misguide them for political mileage he charged.
