Balakrishna is right now working for 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' which is slated for release during Sankranthi, 2017. Already the film did a fantastic pre-release business of 50 crores from its Theatrical rights. Now, it was known that the satellite rights of 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' were bagged by Maa Tv. It was sold for 9 crores which is a career best satellite rights business for a Balakrishna's film. Even it was known that overseas rights were sold for 8 crores which is highest for a Balakrishna's film who didn't have one million films at USA box office. Thus Gautamiputra Satakarni did good business and generated superb profits for the makers. Finally, we need to wait and see whether it will be a profitable venture for its buyers or not ? soon after its release. Directed by Krish, the film has Shriya Saran in the female lead role, Senior actress Hema Malini is essaying Balakrishna's mother in the film as 'Gautami Balasri', music composed by Chirantan Bhatt and it was produced under First Frame Entertainments banner.
