Gautamiputra Satakarni - 40.5crores for Ap/Ts rights

Nandamuri Balakrishna's Gautamiputra Satakarni is one of the most awaited films in Tollywood. The teaser which released a few days ago increased the expectations on the film and received the superb response from the audience. As everything seems positive, the buyers are spending big bucks to grab the rights of the film. It was known that Total Ap/Ts rights were sold for 40.5 crores which is Highest in Balakrishna's career, where Andhra rights sold for 22.5 crores, Nizam - 9 crores and ceeded - 9crores. While the total worldwide theatrical rights were estimated to be close to 50 crores. If we include satellite rights, audio rights, and other rights then it will fetch around 65-70 crores for the makers. However, Balakrishna's career best collected film is Legend which minted 40.5 crores worldwide. So recovering 50 crores for Gautamiputra Satakarni is not a big issue if we consider the hype on the project. Directed by Krish, the film has Shriya Saran in female lead role, music composed by Chirantan Bhatt and it is slated for Sankranthi 2017 release.
