Mini-Buses to pick people at their doorsteps from Nov: Minister

Hyderabad, Oct.21: Telangana Government is planning to introduce Mini Buses named “Vajra” in TSRTC to pick people from their doorsteps or nearby places by avoiding the pain of making it to bus stands. The TSRTC will spend Rs 50 crore to purchase 236 mini-buses in the State, Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy said. Along with TSRTC Chairman S Satyanarayana and MD Ramana Rao, the Minister made a visit to the RTC and inspected a few mini buses. The TSRTC is offering a new opportunity to the people to take the buses from their homes, he said. On an experimental basis, the TSRTC will introduce 36 mini buses on Hyderabad- Nizamabad route in November and 18 buses on the Hyderabad-Warangal route, he said, adding that the same will be extended to other districts. He also said to get revenue; the TSRTC will construct business complexes and multiplexes in its places in the State.
