Funds are not an Issue for Mission Bhagiratha

Amid protests from the opposition parties for not releasing funds for loan waiver schemes, Telangana Chief Minister KCR declared that there would be no dearth of funds for Mission Bhagiratha. CM made this statement in a review meeting with concerned officials of the project. The state government is considering this project as prestigious one. KCR told to officials that the government has already entered agreements with financial institutions to provide 22,000crores as loan and the banks were showing interest to extend another Rs 8,000 crore for the scheme. “If required, we will allocate funds in the budget also” KCR told officials. CM has accepted proposal from officials to give incentives to the contractor, who completed the project within schedule time. He assured that RWS(Rural Water Supply) Department shall be reorganised and strengthened in the future in order to execute the project.
