50 Hyderabad IT Companies attacked by Pakistani hackers

At least 50 Hyderabad IT companies attacked by Pakistani-based hackers. The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) said that the information of several companies has been withheld by hackers from past 10days. To handover the decryption keys, the hackers were demanding bitcoins. The information has been stolen using ‘ransomware.' The attacks are mainly targeted on finance related IT companies. One of the company information has been completely stolen by hackers and they demanded one lac bitcoins(nearly Rs.420crore). Even after paying such huge amount, there is no guarantee that the hackers will be decrypted the information stolen. The hackers used servers based on Turkey, Somalia, and Saudi Arabia and they have changed proxy servers for every 5 minutes. But ethical hacker group had nailed the IP addresses, the port used and the network node. A few days back, the issue has been reported by some IT companies informing that their transactions were not moving. When they dig deep into this, they found that they were attacked. Some IT companies were reported to SCSC directly, and others were come to the notice through private cyber security firms.
