AP Road Projects On fast track basis

In order to flay the criticism from the opposition over concentration of development activities to the capital region, AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu instructed R&B officials to complete the 1300-1400Km long roads across the state connecting from various parts to capital city. Out of the 1300Km, state has planned to complete 382Km long road projects by the end of the year. To complete this task, R&B officials estimated that around Rs. 1000-1500crores is required. CMO is a very ambitious infrastructure project and they had given clear instructions regarding quality standards to follow firmly. They are also deputing senior officials for carrying out surprise inspections. “41km long road of the 62km targeted in Kurnool district and 40km road of the 120km targeted in Chittoor district, 35km road of 153km targeted in Krishna district and 270km long road of the 351km targeted in Guntur district completed” Senior Officials said. The payments to road contracts also disbursed on fast track basis to complete the project on time.
