Story Behind 'S' Names In Premam movie

Premam released on October 7th receiving good response from the audience. In the film, Chaitu was told by parents that his life partner name will start with ‘S’ letter. Audience refers Chaitu real life girlfriend Samantha as it is sinking with his real life love story. Clarifying this, director Chandoo Mondeti said that no character name has given without a purpose. He has chosen first character name as Suma as it refers to the flower which lasts for a few days only like the early stage of love. For the second character which is played by Shruthi Haasan, he has chosen Sitara because it refers to star. “One should admire star, but never reach it”, he said. Coming to the third character for which Chaitu character has to stick at the end of the film. He opted for the Sindhu name as it infers that Sindoor on forehead, which should be there for life time. He has opted Vikram for Naga Chaitanya character because it refers Vikramaditya who is famous for repeated attempts. “I completed dialogues for this film in last September itself. There is no connection with Samantha with respect to character names and there is a story behind each name” Chandoo said.
