Education Sector Collapsed in the State: Uttam Kumar Reddy
Hyderabad, Oct.8: Alleging that the education sector was collapsed in Telangana state, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the reason for the collapse of education sector was due to government attitude. He demanded the state government to release Rs.2145 crores fees arrears immediately. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, Uttam alleged that the TRS government was forgotten the fees reimbursement scheme in the state. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who assured amidst Legislative Assembly that he would waive off fees arrears, has forgotten about it. “About 14.5 lakh students are at the receiving end due to the Chief Minister’s attitude”, he alleged. It was atrocious on the part of the government that it was failed to release last year’s fees arrears, he asserted. Finding fault with the state government, which was giving crores of rupees to water grid scheme, Uttam asked the government to tell the reason as to why it was not releasing funds to the fees reimbursement scheme. The TPCC Chief opined that it was not good for the future of the people of the state if the division of the districts done in hurry. “The new districts may be launched during Deepavali if not Dasara”, he said asking the government to convene all-party meeting once on new district issue.
