Cong. MLA repeats demand for CBI probe into Nayeem case

Hyderabad, Sept.29: Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has demanded that the State government expedite investigation into the slain gangster Nayeem’s case and punish the culprits with iron hand. He also advised the State government not to delay the case like a daily TV serial. Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Komatireddy alleged that the State government was not bothered about the demand sought by him several times for ordering a CBI inquiry into the Nayeem’s case. Reiterating that there was no need for him to have relation with Nayeem, Venkat Reddy clarified that his family members also had no links with Nayeem gangsters. But his opponents were trying to destroy his political career by engineering stories. “We are the first ones to have demanded CBI inquiry into the Nayeem’s case”, he reminded. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao tender an apology to the farmers for changing his word on loan waiver like he tendered apology to the Mid-Maner land oustees. The poor farmers were falling in neck-deep debts because the government was not waiving bank loans of the farmers at one go, he said, demanding that the Chief Minister release Chief Minister’s Special Relief Fund of Rs 4,750 crore immediately for loan waiver. Alleging that the State and Central governments were deceiving farmers, Komatireddy asserted that Chief Minister KCR too failed to fulfill the assurances made during elections. The farmers committed suicides more in Telangana than in any other State in the last two years, he said and demanded that the Chief Minister release funds for third phase of loan waiver. Making it clear that the Telangana State was created not for celebrations of festivals, Komatireddy said the State was created to see the happiness in the eyes of the students and farmers.
