Cong. Leaders Visit Sripada Ellampally Proejct; Says Credit goes to Dr YSR

Karimnagar, Sept.28: TPCC leaders have stated that the former Chief Minister late Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy laid foundation stone for the Sripada Ellampally project with eying on future. TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP leader K Jana Reddy, Opposition Leader in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, former PCC Chief Ponnala Laxmaiah and CLP Deputy Leader T Jeevan Reddy visited Ellampally project here on Wednesday. Speaking on this occasion, the leaders have stated that the credit of present ‘Jalakala’ at Sripada Ellampally project goes to previous Congress government. The previous government completed 90 percent of works of Ellampally project. They alleged that the TRS government was adopting delaying tactics in inaugurating Ellampally project thinking that the Congress party may get the credit. They demanded the government to release water to 2.20 lakh acre completing pump houses of the Ellampally project immediately. “It doesn’t matter whether the TRS government inaugurates the Ellampally project or not”, they opined.
